Aston Martin Victor Description
The Aston Martin Victor is a one-off road-legal custom body supercar built by Q by Aston Martin, Aston Martin Lagonda’s in-house personalisation division. It is named after Victor Gauntlett, the executive chairman of Aston Martin during the 1980s, widely credited for his efforts in dragging the automobile manufacturer out of perpetual financial trouble during his tenure.
The Aston Martin Victor’s carbon bodywork is based on the One-77, incorporating round front headlights and overall styling cues reminiscent of the 1977 V8 Vantage, side exhausts, bumpers, and suspension from the track day Vulcan, LED tail lights inspired by the Valkyrie hypercar, and a development programme that uses computer fluid dynamic testing, resulting in the Victor producing more downforce at 100 mph than the 2008 Vantage GT4 race car despite weighing less than the One-77. The Victor is painted mainly in Pentland Green, a darker shade of green based on the green-on-tan coloration associated with classic British automobile racing. However, many of its lower body elements are satin-tinted carbon fiber.
The 7.3-liter V12 engine that powers the Aston Martin Victor is similar to the one found in the One-77, but has been further tuned by Cosworth for increased performance, producing 836 bhp (86 more than the One-77) and 606 lb⋅ft of torque (53 more than the One-77). Central to the Victor’s drivetrain is its 6-speed manual gearbox, which makes it the most powerful Aston Martin car ever made with manual transmission. The Victor’s four Brembo CMM-R carbon ceramic disc brakes give it a stopping power similar to GT3 race cars.
Because of its highly exclusive and one-off nature, there are no official performance figures for the Aston Martin Victor and its cost price is unknown. However, as the Victor is based on the One-77, its performance and cost is believed to be similar to the latter in many respects.
