Inferno Settimo Cerchio Description
Nel settimo cerchio si accede dopo aver superato i resti di una frana, provocata dal terremoto che scosse la terra alla morte di Cristo; essa segna un netto distacco dalla parte superiore dell’Inferno: i dannati degli ultimi tre cerchi, infatti, sono colpevoli di aver posto malizia nelle loro cattive azioni. Il custode del cerchio è il Minotauro, che rappresenta la «matta bestialità», ovvero la violenza che rende l’uomo simile a bestie: e infatti a essere dannati qui sono i violenti, divisi in tre gironi:
