DS Automobiles DS E-Tense Description
The DS E-TENSE is an all-electric concept sports car built by DS Automobiles, Citroen’s sub-unit. The car defines what the future of sports cars would look like. The E-TENSE is the successor of the Survolt.
The model was first conceived in 2016, as a competitor to Audi’s R8 e-Tron. The car is built around a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, above where the lithium-ion batteries lie. Two electric Siemens motors power the car, giving it 401 hp and 391 foot-pounds of torque, a top speed of 249 kmph (155 mph) and an electric range of 360 kilometers (223 miles) on a single charge.
